Come and join us in our Fourth New Year’s Celebration! The closing days of one year and the dawning days of the next year offer a special opportunity to pause, take stock, gather up the lessons and blessings from 2009 past year and look ahead to what we want to manifest in 2010.
We are blessed to again have with us Ven. Phagyab Rinpoche of The Compassion Project (healingthroughcompassion.org). Rinpoche will present morning teachings on the wisdom and power of compassion from a Buddhist point of view. His interpreter and facilitator, Marina Illich, Ph.D., will be by his side to give us her sensitive and insightful translations. Rinpoche will also offer his inspirational meditations and techniques to awaken our innate healing capabilities.
The workshop will include wise teachers from other sacred traditions. They invite us to learn from them and participate in their rituals. Using art and drumming, chanting and sharing, we will play and pray, laugh and experience the silence and beauty of the desert landscape.
Especially we bring ourselves each with our own individual stories and experiences and unique perspectives and gifts, we celebrate and move forward into 2010 with a renewed sense of enthusiasm, clarity of purpose and compassion for ourselves and each other. Come and join us!
WHEN: The workshop will begin at 6:00 p.m. with dinner on Monday, December 28th, 2009 and concludes at 12:00 noon with brunch on Saturday, January 2nd, 2010. WHO: All interested individuals. HOW MUCH: $950 – with a 10% discount if registered by November 1, 2009 with a $100 non-refundable deposit. Cost includes all lodging and meals.
